1 minute Set - Beaver Trapping Under the Ice - 330 Bodygrip Traps

There are many different ways to make beaver sets under the ice. Some are more effective than others and some definitely take longer than others to set.
I'm not the best beaver trapper, but I try to be efficient.
This video shows my technique for a quick and easy way to set a baited 330 conibear bodygrip trap under the ice.
You can try different bait, such as aspen sticks, parsnips, onions, or even a potato, but take a minute and try this set-up.

wouldn't you have to anchor your trap chain up to a long stick or something that the beaver can't pull through the hole ?

Is that vertical pole stuck in the bottom or is the whole set just hanging? Very cool man! I'm time poor so I love this idea.

You can turn it length wise also and bait it with a 11" piece of aspen or birch wired to the bottom jaw of the 330, and 1 stake across the hole holding the chain and cable/wire. They call it a Lazy Susan
