Short term pain for long term gain. The DOJ will appeal, the 11th circuit court will throw out this ruling, and recuse Cannon from the case. Thomas' opinion does not speak for the Court as a whole and is not law. Even if the 11th circuit somehow upholds this, the DOJ can bring the case again and ensure Cannon is not part of the judicial pool.

Funny how this reason to dismiss apparently never occurred to Cannon until Clarence Thomas made a point of writing a separate opinion on the immunity case with the claim that independent counsels are illegal despite all the precedents.

NO to Trump. I have voted as a republican for 5 decades, but this time, I CANNOT vote for Trump and any of his supporters.

Any office worker will be fired for taking 20 sheets of blank paper ( NOT even the full ream of paper). Yet he can have no accountability for stealing classified documents and showing them to others. She needs to be disbarred and every single one of her cases need to be re-examined to determine how she ruled for others and the steps that she took in those cases compared to this one. How many lay citizens did she treat with the same kid gloves as this former president? So can it be rectified? Can Senate appoint a special counsel and ask for another judge?
