My great-grandma was on something like this. Perhaps it was a trial to slow it down. Family said it helped out of hope, but it didn't. She had a head injury as a young mother from going through a windshield headfirst during an accident. Perhaps head injuries don't improve with these new drugs. She recognized me when she saw me but thought I was 8 instead of in my 20s. Her Alzheimers was different. I've spent time in wards and homes due to a mental illness. She had a weird association thing where she would bring up the past when she saw people. Most other Alzheimers patients did not even have that.
