Ship flags were not for the Oil Companys to cover money or affect pricing to buy / sell ... the flags were to get around high priced Ship Registrations and restrictive Labour laws such as the US flag etc. No ship operator buys / sells the cargo - they just contract to carry it ... so the guy in the video is not correct on that.

well, as commented here and there already: this is not "Britain`s Second Empire" - these pirates are sailing all over the world, they are not bound nor feel responsible for any region or nation or culture or anything. Their flag is the Jolly Roger.
