Metal Shaping, 1950 Chevy Cab Patch Panel

I make a patch panel out of 18 gage steel for the outer skin of the A pillar on a 1950 Chevy half ton, using hand tools, a slip roller, a sheet metal break, a bead roller and a blacksmith anvil.

Where did you get the large piece of masking tape? I have never seen one so wide.

try original Mole Grips, made in Newport they are very similar to Vise grips except the release lever goes the other way, a lot easier to use on tin, especially if your wearing gloves, and cheap second hand off flea bay.
