I had never considered the Tasmanian Devil as a comparison to a Honey Badger, but it is actually pretty spot on. A smaller mammal that punches way outside it's weight class

Honey Badger, an angry little animal with tough skin, lots of muscles, high pain tolerace, resistant to poison, never backs down and doesn't get tired.... oh and eats just about anything...

I have seen a honey badger fighting a leopard in Africa....the leopard just gave up...those honey badgers will fight for weeks if that's what it takes....they NEVER give up.They truly are fearless in every sense of the word.

Honey Badger is a real badass. It is hard to win against an animal whose only defence is 100% offense and refuses to quit.

Tasmanian Devils are only very aggressive during the mating season and they don’t deal with much competition from other animals which is why I think the Honey Badger would win

You forgot to mention intelligence. The honey badger is extremely intelligent. As well as it also being more agile. The honey badger's fighting style is wild . The Tasmanian Devil isn't very agile and moves about kinda lumbering due to its larger head and dense thick jaw musculature. It moves very similar to the raccoon only a bit worse because its slower .

I agree completely. It sounds like the badger's skin is thick enough to handle those teeth, and the honey badger won't care about the devil's bluffs. Honey badgers are also smart enough to use tools when necessary, and they'll eat anything.

I live in Tasmania so I’m somewhat biased however I think the honey badger would win as long as the devil doesn’t get a good grip with those powerful jaws. Having heard them at night around camp, I’m 100% certain that Tasmanian Devils win the most horrific snarl award hands down no question! Satan himself would be intimidated by that sound!

Typically honey badgers are paired up with wolverines in these "what if" scenarios. I'm sad to say for the devils, a solo tasmanian devil would not stand a chance against either of the aforementioned opponents. A group of devils, perhaps.
