I own both the Echo 9010 and the Stihl 800C and for blowing leaves, especially wet ones. There's no comparison. The Echo 9010 is a beast!!!

21 years in this game. Pound for pound our firm moves more leaves and cuts more grass than any other. I have decades of experience with all of these blowers. Here are a few things that I know. Husqvarna and red max are the exact same blower just different color. Redundant test there. The most nimble blower is the Stihl. Most powerful blower is the Echo. The best all around blower is the Red Max. Pound for pound the Stihl is best. If you have young and strong team members the Echo is the best. Some of our older staff members prefer the Stihl or the mid model Echos. The best blower for you and your team is different based on your physical makeup as well as that of your team. Good luck.

I’ve had my stihl 800 mag for two years, I’m still amazed by the power. Dry leaf’s, wet leaf’s, acorn’s, stick’s, snakes, and snow are not a problem for the 800. I have noticed that it doesn’t like cheap gas so I’ve been running mid-grade gas and premium mix in it and it’s help’s out greatly during the winter months during storage.

The Stihl looks like it has a tapered end. That would make a big difference in the battery test, as the air would be directed into a smaller, more powerful area.

Take the 800 vs 9010.. 41 Newton's versus 47 Newtons. If 9010 finishes an hour long job 3 minutes faster than the 800. In 620 hrs it's finished 1, 860 minutes faster or 31 hrs faster for the year. So if I bill out at 70$ per man hour I just made 2, 170$ more in the same 620 period than the 800. $2170 - $623 (fuel cost difference) = 1547$ more profit in 620 hrs. Multiply that out by 5 9010s for the crew and that 7, 735$ per year more revenue. We use BR600's for everyday use but the 90/80-10's come out in the Spring/Fall cleanups here in Michigan..

This is the most entertaining comparison video I have seen. Really great job! I was leaning towards the Husqvarna, but thinking about the Stihl now. Heard too many comments about the noise level of the Echo to consider.

Awesome video! I've got a 9010 and a BR600. The only thing keeping me from switching to the BR800 is you can't see through the fuel tank on the Sthil. I know it's stupid, just fill it up every couple of jobs and forget about it, but it still bugs me every time I look at the 600.

i have had all the blowers to blow big piles of leaves echo beat stihl by far and by a lot of distance. the redmax and husky were about 1 foot less in the blowing distance then the echo 9010. on acorns the Stihl was great at getting them out of the grass compared to the others. In my opinion id buy a echo redmax or husky for leaf power and if you deal with a lot of acorns then use a Stihl for that if you don't deal with acorns a lot I would not waste the money on the Stihl and stay with echo redmax or husky but the echo is a lot louder then all the others and you definitely want hearing protection running the echo.

I remember using a stihl like that for lawn maintenance, fall clean ups, every thing. And I was amazed, just about every time I used it at how long I could run it on 1 tank!

So happy you made the comparison charts. First weigh in I looked to grab a pen and pad for notes then didn’t even need it

Great video. One thing to note, the same person dominated the battery competition. Operator skill is too big a factor in that test.

As an owner of Echo I already knew the fuel economy was a sore spot, however though I have no regrets buying it I also am not a commercial user, other determining factors were parts availability and how many more places I can get echo parts as opposed to stihl.

I decided on the echo 9010 today…. Just brought it home…. I love it, but holy crap is it loud! Thanks for helping me decide!

Have an Echo PB8010T that's lights out awesome. Half the cleanup time of my last blower, less time, less fuel (not for it's efficiency but for it's speed), less hassle.
