New Orleans can look forward to dry, warm weather pattern this week

Dry weekend weather has finally arrived as high pressure builds in from the east. This will dominate our forecast through much of next week with a dry stretch and more heat.

Coastal and lakeshore flooding issues will continue into Sunday. Strong east winds but will subside Saturday night and Sunday as the high pressure center drifts more over us, but it could still take a while for the water to recede.
