They love him and his policies, because he united the various industrialists and provincial leaders to finally work wholly on domestic independence.

Thanks Cyrus for your efforts to convey an accurate description of today's China. I'm an ABC and semi-retired MD who has been to time innumerable times to China over the last 40 years. Most recently been to China 3x in the last year and can personally attest to the phenomenal changes and the overall satisfaction among friends and relatives about the situation in China. I understand and speak Mandarin which gives me a good understanding in the field. The economy has hit a downturn; however, the gov't is taking measures to assist it. It is NOT the dystopic Orwellian nightmare as portrayed by the Western media narrative. I will be in Chengdu in March with my 88 y/o mother, brother and sister-in-law to seek out ancestral sites, previously difficult to access but today with high speed rail a breeze!

US is wasting time on the wrong things. Now it is reacting to the Pacific islands, S America and Africa.

Without Trump's first term, China would not have been able to achieve firm industrial upgrading. Previously, China would have purchased high-tech products from the United States. Now, China sees the opportunities brought by its own industrial upgrading. Trump's second term is about to begin, and I think more interesting things may happen.

The US needs to learn China’s ancient wisdom of Daoism. If one insists on going against the Dao, even if things seem to go in the way one wishes in the beginning, eventually things will only backfire in the most unexpected places because it isn’t compatible with the Dao.

The US and Western European allies have exploited Africa for hundreds of years and this has crippled development in these countries. And I’m talking about human development, that is education, healthcare, housing, good jobs, infrastructure which is what the BRICS and China’s belt and road is bringing to African nations. China is not about exploiting Africa and Latin America but helping them develop. For instance Peru and China just opened the largest port in the western hemisphere which will greatly help the development of these countries. China goes to a poor country and says we want to help you build hospitals, schools, and roads, bridges. The US goes to countries and builds a military base which has nothing to do with development. A US military base is the center of regime change and CIA operations that undermine elected governments and the global south is sick of it. China recently eliminated the debt of 17 African nations. Now that money can go towards development instead of Wall Street banks. Ha HA Biden’s sanctions against Putin and Russia backfired - China and Russia are now closer than ever. BRICs actually called for self determination for Palestine - a single Palestinian state. The US dollar will not “collapse” but it will loose it’s position as the worlds reserve currency. Bretton Woods and the unipolar world dominated by the US and Europe is dead - it’s a multi polar world now which will be much more equal, much more democratic, much less racist, with much less wars.

8:00 Chinese has been a trading nation for thousands of years. All merchants have the simple concept.. if you customers getting richer and richer, they'll buy more and more from you.
China is still a developing country, so they fully understand the benefits of having such infrastructure for the African countries in order to get off from the bottom and climb the wealth ladder. This is a long term view to grow your customers, which the US and the west lack.

A great example of how diversity is NOT a barrier to successful cooperation and mutual economic advancement is the shining case of ASEAN.
It's a region of high diversity and yet it's prospering in peace since its inception.
