For warm water diving upu have a full body rash guard or thin wetsuit. For diving in Cuba I bought a 0.5 mm wetsuit and I was very comfortable

In France we are mostly with the octo on the left

As usual Nice video!
Diving in france, octo is usually left which is nicer to give air but a bit weird when you want to use it yourself(wanted to last weekend when my principal 1st stage on right frizzed). As long as I don’t move to a long hose setup I will keep octo left but got to get a longer “yellow” hose.

Hi Simply Scuba, please review Sidemount BCDs, specifically the Dive Rite Nomad LS. Please and thank you.

Hi, thanks so much for taking the time every week to answer these tons of questions!
I’m currently in the market for new exposure protection (My old 7 mm seems to have reduced in size; must have been made out of this infamous shrinking neoprene), but I wonder whether it’s smart to go for 7 mm again. I think buying a 5 mm + an additional drysuit might be a more versatile set, right? The lakes and seasides around here in Germany are not known to be the warmest and coziest, but the 5 mm would be better for traveling and in summer. And I take it layering up is still an option.
Secondly, since Drysuits cost are not exactly low, any recommendations when looking/buying for a 2nd hand / used drysuit as an entry into drysuits?

#askmark what do you think about the Atmos mission one dive computer?

Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn't using a 2nd stage reg with hose access on the reverse side for your octo eliminate the hose kink?

A comment on the first question: whichever wetsuit option she goes with, she can always wear a long rashguard on the exposed parts, protecting from both sun and stingers.

Hi Mark, on the industry standard octo from the right, I thought it would be good to mention that BSAC teaches octo from the left for precisely the hose routing and second stage orientation reasons you described.

I brushed against fire coral once. Just once. That was enough to convince me never to dive in a shorty again! I get a lot of stick from my buddies for only diving in a full wetsuit but none of them have had the exquisite displeasure of fire coral touching their precious, sensitive skin - that stuff bloody hurts!

#askmark Hi Mark, is it OK to wash a wetsuit in a front loading washing machine? I'm thinking of only using desinfectant without soap, cold water and finish with spin dry and then hang to dry.
