The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been unbelievably successful at getting fans into seats for so long that multiple failed interconnected movie franchises have been created and died off while the MCU keeps chugging along at a brisk pace. But while fans might have fond memories of how the content juggernaut started with 2008's relatively low-budget "Iron Man," the series hasn't always satisfied fans with its creative choices. We're not even talking about the poorly received sequels like "Thor: The Dark World," either. These are moments from some of your favorite MCU films. From poorly-considered jokes to character choices that enraged fans, these are the most cringeworthy MCU moments.

Do people not realise even in her comic origin. Black widow is a feme fatal? She literally uses her beauty as a weapon in her espionage work hence why she got close to Tony in Iron Man 2 because he’s a a well known play boy it makes perfect sense Nick Fury would send her and create that lingerie model background for her. He knew Tony would take the bait.

Tony saying "I want one" is part of his character development from selfish bastard to hero 🤦🏽‍♂️

I knew you will "accidentally" leave out the most cringeworthy moment:the woke moment in endgame.

Yeah I’m sorry this list was cringe and very nit picky. You are calling out the characters for being who they were designed to be. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, not everything is always gonna be positivity. Without any flaws what’s the point of adversity.

As a regular guy if I was held captive for 3 months with no promise of returning home the last thing I want to do is talk to media, I’d rather talk about that on my own terms. Food is scarf a whole cheeseburger down with a Nathan’s hotdog… the “I want one” is cringe cause of this “woke” crap how do we know billionaires or millionaires don’t do as such anyway?

And Renner’s answer was correct it’s a fictional character, you don’t believe female spies wouldn’t use there “feminine wiles” to manipulate men ? Happens in the real world why wouldn’t it happens with a fictional character… also Romanoff was a 1/3 of who she really is in the comics. You the host attacking his music career? Yeah that’s cringe (even if what you said is true).

When Natasha called herself a monster. It was not about not having the ability for kids. She was talking about all the people she killed as a widow. Star lord hitting thanos. Well that is exactly how he responded when ego said he killed his mother. That is how Peter reacts. Did he make a mistake. Yes. But his reaction is justified as part of who he is. Just saying.

I understood the cheeseburger scene. I went through survival school in the Army (SERE) and wanted a cheeseburger or pizza after starving for 3 weeks.

After my first Iraq deployment, I wanted some decent food, like a good pizza.

Oh come on... the girl power scene in EndGame was pure cringe. I knew it wouldnt be included though once the list started with 2 Black Widow objectifications. Marvel objectified Thor and Captain America more in their debuts.

The part where all the female superheroes lined up in one spot in Endgame was cringe levels that was over 9000.

Nerding out the Hulk was hilarious and the dab just made it funnier.

Oh come on! Objectifying Black Widow? That's the point! Such actions helped define the character arc of Tony Stark! The entire MCU saga was predicated on Tony Stark's character arc from a self centered, womanizing, playboy lone wolf in the first Iron Man to a committed team player, husband, father, that sacrificed himself to save humanity in Avengers: Endgame. Such a character arc is not possible without showing Tony's self center, objectification, etc. in the first place.
For Zeus sake! All this political correctness has got to stop! It's destroying artistic expression and all our ability to pose thought provoking quandaries!

It’s PTSD FFS. She’s clearly scarred by the hysterectomy and all else. I /hate/ this list.

Star lord attacking Thanos had to happen, according to Dr. Strang there was only one way to win.

Tony Stark did describe himself as a “Genius, Billionaire, Playboy & Philanthropist”; something even Pepper Potts knows all too well in Iron Man I. And the Black Widow, in the comics, was meant to be a femme fatale to begin with as she was a Russian spy prior to becoming part of SHIELD; in the comics, the Avengers version of Mantis was regarded as too sexualized, perhaps far moreso than Black Widow.

Objectification just got a whole another meaning in todays woke dictionary. Tony Stark always referred anything and anyone as a Toy.

I always thought that scene about black widow not being able to have kids was her showing how they went to great lengths to dehumanize her and make her devoid of any strong feelings, it was a part of her trauma that she was made to be a killing machine incapable of normal emotions that girls usually feel, that's what she says that she is a monster because she was made to become one and she still lived with that and what she had to do, I didn't take it as "women who are incapable of having children are monsters". However, I totally agree that she was sexualized a lot especially in Iron Man 2.
