Building houses that we living and paying taxes in Canada cannot afford and will end up being bought by foreign investors to rent for an absurd amount of money. It started in BC and Ontario and if Gov does not do anything about foreigners buying real state in Canada, it will spread like a cancer.

This is way too simplistic to say that if this is only the current liberal governments mess. All governments, including the provincial government has allowed too many foreign investments to supersede Canadians buying within their provinces and municipalities. Governments, including provincial have used real estate as part of their GDP in order to secure loans.. this has been ongoing for years and it was bound to collapse, Eventually I guess eventually is now.

They can begin at the municipal level by decreasing the cost of a building permit. Went from $15 000 to $30 000 in no time. The municipal government in our area getting real greedy with that as well as taxes 😠
