I have lore reasons for Seek and Figure not being killed by the Crucifix.

Seek is a really powerful demon, which is why he struggles for a bit, but breaks out.

Figure isn't a demon at all, which is why he just snaps the chains.

The crucifix proved 2 things in this game.
1: Entities have to be strong enough to break through the crucifix if they don’t want to die
2: Seek was struggling, which means he was barely strong enough, but FIGURE WASN’T EVEN FAZED

I just love how much main character vibes this gives . I used it once on rush because my friends stole all the closets before I had anytime. I stood there by myself and took him head on and it felt so cool.

This really adds alot of depth to doors. No pun intended. But the fact that they scream in pure agony is just a really nice touch.

The fact that we don’t even enter Dupe’s room and instead throw the crucifix in there adds a lot of mystery for Dupe’s true appearance.

Figure not even struggling to break the chains made me think that the crucifix is stricted to banish only demons and evil spirits. Some have a huge amount of power to break the chains, but Figure is untouched because he isn't considered to be a demon or an evil spirit.
