Dear GSC,

I grew up playing the STALKER games, they are the strongest core memory I have when it comes to gaming, they have helped me through countless hardships in life, losses of family and friends, etc. And through it all, I always wondered about the zone, about Chornobyl and the disaster, it's always been this kind of otherwordly escape I had growing up, I've always wanted to visit myself just to experience it, see what it's like and be able to say I've been there, I've seen the ghost city, I've stood on that same iradiated ground and explored those darkened buildings frozen in time.

After watching this...I have nothing but respect, admiration and appreciation for each and every one of you, for everything you have done. And not just as game developers, but as Ukranian people for what you had to endure, my heart has bled for you from afar, I've watched the war unfold and felt my heart break inside with each and every video. Seeing this documentary gave me soo much more insight and understanding to the delays, even though I knew they were enduring a war, there are soo many people that may not understand that.

Ievgen and Mariia, wow, I mean, have you ever seen people that hold that level of compassion, busses parked outside of the office everyday as a Plan B, with an escape route to possibly the smartest place you could go, right to NATOs border...absolutely, bloody, brilliant. Seeing people that care for their team and employees like that...that's some good shit right there, thanks for restoring my faith in humanity, and game development for that matter.

And the rest of the incredible team, from developers that moved their lives to the border and beyond to protect the project, to those that stayed to defend their homeland and their lives, you should all be proud of yourselves, and anyone that felt guilty for leaving, please don't be so harsh with yourselves, your lives and the lives of your family and loved ones are important, and there is absolutely no shame in having to have left Ukraine for that purpose.

Thank you all, for your extreme dedication, for your perserverance, and for the obvious love and care you put into this game, I know I cannot wait to experience the labour of love that is STALKER 2.

Thank you STALKERS, I hope the zone repays you in kind.

I met some of the GSC devs at Gamescom and I have to say, they were some of the mosy friendly, polite and interesting people I have ever met. I also have experience of Ukranian people where I work. And they are exactly the same, such nice people, considering the issues they have faced. I hope Stalker 2 is a critical and financial success. I am so looking foeward to it

As we say in the UK, "Hats off" to all of you for showing such resilience in the face of such obviosity. I still play S.T.A.L.K.E.R today, all be it in modded form but still love the escapism it brings and the adrenaline of the moment the Zone can throw at you.

I never pre-order games because the industry can't be trusted to release a finished product today, but I did pre-order this one because I know that even if it launches with some issues, it will be something made by passioniate, strong people who have endured Hell on Earth in order to create something that they love and are proud of. My father played Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl when I was little, and he still loves this game the most. I gifted a good computer to him recently, and installed Witcher 3, GTA 5 and some other games, but he didn't want to play them, he said "Please just install an old Stalker game for me, and I'll play it". He plays it now, and I already gifted him Stalker 2 so he can play as soon as it releases. GSC, you are loves, you are supported and you fanbase appreciates your efforts all these years! Stay safe! We will be patiently waiting for Stalker 2!
