I still remember when Childish Gambino was some small time comedy actor who has this obscure rap gig on the side. I heard this song and I knew that this dude was capable of taking the world by storm, but I was worried that he'd just be another incredibly talented artist whose brilliance would never be fully realized because the mainstream wouldn't get it. Fast forward to today. Redbone, Solo, This is America... I've never been more happy to be so wrong.
