Setting up a Moodle Server - 2012 Capstone Fair. Marlboro College Graduate School, Vermont

Riverbend Career and Technical Center has been looking for ways to improve recruitment numbers and offer an alternative to the classroom for distance learners. This capstone created a Moodle server for RBCTC allows instructors to put their programs into an online format. Using Microsoft server technology and Moodle software, a site was constructed for RBCTC that allows educators to develop an entire online curriculum. An initial offering of "Gaming, Animation, and Web Design Online I and II" was implemented to serve both as a model and as a stand-alone set of classes, and a graduate-level course focusing on curriculum mapping was developed as well. Obstacles to developing this project included accessibility for the disabled, troubleshooting the software, and usability testing.
