Next level content. Learn so much just from this one example. i like how you explain how and why your doing something as well. Im slowly understanding these nodes more and more. Cheers.

Bro, you are absolutely a god. Thank you so much. By the way, I wondered how people come up with ideas for arranging these nodes, is it just about experimenting? This is like magic even though I figure out what each node does. I am so impressed by how you put them all together and generated realistic material!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! You may want to add a note about enabling Optix Denoising during scene setup (I thought by the look of it you had that enabled as well).

A wonderful tutorial. I would be highly interested in seeing your method of adding edge wear to this procedural material, which would be ideal if making something like an old crate.

Haha wow, that one was a doozy, thanks for sharing man these are awesome. I just wish I had enough base knowledge of blender's shader hierarchy to know how to make something that huge. I can do really basic ones but this stuff is still way out of my league. Awesome tutorials.

i think you should keep making these kind of Procedural Material videos and if possible update the old videos with more realistic Procedural Material videos.

Amazing as always! If I’m making a live edge table with yellowing edges and different end grain, how would I go about creating this while keeping everything aligned? I’ve tried separating the edges and adding new material, but it’s tricky. Thanks so much for your time and content!

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I just need to understand how can I make the objects to have a randomise texture when I put the matierial to an array and not like they are the same object

Question at 7:50: Why do we need to add an additional mapping node here instead of just adjusting the scale on the first mapping node? I tried it both ways and they seem to be identical.

Is it possible to do this without the knot? Would that just be leaving it out? Also, thank you for your tutorials, can't really believe that this is free.

Hey man, firstly, thanks a lot for the tutorial, I really appreciate it! I would only ask how to make it stop being so damn laggy. I can't move the shape without lag. I am running a 3070gtx so my pc isn't a potato, but it still lags harrrrd.

Very nice, but could you add procedural imperfections such as scratches and fingerprint-like marks? Otherwise it will look too perfect.

Thank you, is there a way to randomize the knots? I've tried adding in Separate xyz + Math + Combine + Object Info (random) into the vector of the knots but the outcome was horrible>

Result: Ended up using Text coord + Object Info > Mix > "Mapping" location. Works like a treat for randomness

How do i get the knots map over the rings instead of them going through. Thanks otherwise tho.

blender has about 13 shader nodes to work with, Iam thinking what you can make (Procedural) if u use the GLSL directly...

Hi! I have a question about blender and you will be the best person for me 🙏🏻 I’ve bought a new computer and I’d like to use all settings, preferences and ass-ons which I used to use on my old computer. I looked up everywhere but I couldn’t find any solutions….

Thanks a lot🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi Ryan. I have just bought the Procedural Wood plank Material - wonderful work! But I want to use it in cinema4d Cycles. But cycles cannot recognice the .blend file. Do you know of any method to convert the node-file into a cycles cinema4d format?
