Nice to have someone who's willing to play naval and make a guide for the people that want to try or understand the game mode.

literally earlier today, I went into a match with my 5.3 US lineup and spawned in with the USS Atlanta, I quickly realised it was an up tier and was ammo racked by a battleship within the first 3o seconds

Great video! One thing you missed is that instead of panning your binoculars upwards or downwards in order to reduce or increase shell falling distance you can go into controls and set the mouse wheel to distance correction. Then you'll be able to reduce or increase distance by scrolling while having your reticle right on the ship.

One thing about crew interchangeability: if you’re running a dedicated PT boat slot in your lineups, check before you invest in the skill. Boats with small crews sometimes get literally zero benefit from upgrading the skill to max because of the way it’s calculated. You can see how the number of crew increases by hovering over the little bar.

Also I like the fire prevention skill, haha. And the spotting ones are pretty useless but they can be good for grinding up the total crew level a bit if you’re trying to expert the crew.

This is the video that I’ve been looking for. Literally there’s little to no videos on naval like this. It’s very helpful

WoWs really just has better balancing. I like that it has a "br" that incorporates DDs up to BBs in the same tiers. I think War Thunder would be fine if they tried something like that however we need better spawns + maps. Wish it worked a bit more like ground Sim as well because planes would be fun and probably not op to start with at the start of a match, would definitely trim down the BB spam (especially the ones without AA).

Dipped a toe a few years back, but just now really giving it a go and this helps a lot to solidify what I have been learning on my own, as well as explaining "ranging shot" which I would never have figured out on my own 😀

43:11 those rockets irl were basically a hybrid rocket/depth charge where it could be used to destroy submarines, ships and most importantly torpedoes which they had good sonar coupled ballistic computers for.

i was scared to try naval because of how complicated it seemed, but this video helped a lot!

Thanks for the guide. Been playing top tier jets and ground for years, always been shy to naval because of not understanding it. This helps

Returning naval player here, thanks for the video. You missed talking about usage of planes (bombing vs torpedo) during naval battles. Right now I’m struggling deciding which planes to buy for my naval loadout

3k hours in planes and ships, naval is in one of the weirdest places rn since 2019. Hopefully with the addition of WW2 battleships and subs there will be a real naval change.

6.0 ships are the best Tier to play. Just bought the Helena week ago and now I have all the ships unlocked in the US.
