A High Steaks Game

Buy your meat direct from the source. If you can’t find a local ranch because you’re in the city, find one that ships. Just so you know, this is NOT a paid promotion. It’s just something I believe in. For the record, the @mcbeemeats ribeye was one of the best I have had in a long time. I’d also like to thank @lazyjmeats for looking over my script and making sure what I was saying was accurate.

While i don't always like it the crack down on antibiotics being freely used is probably for the best. Antibiotic resistance is real and inappropriate use of antibiotics makes it worse.

I the FDA and the courts cared about animal and human health they would have ended factory farming the year it started

You are a true inspiration of a simplistic life sir! Love the content always.

No regulations and you get a third world country. I should know, I'm from what used to be one. And now that same country has a bunch of regulations like no single use plastic bags or paper cups lined with plastic and the like and people happily comply because they remember how things were like without them. It does increase costs but nothing in life is free.

I grew up in Montana, and my parents would go in with another family every year to buy a 4H beef cow. The kid who raised it would sometimes send a picture of them with this animal that they’d raised, which seems a little morbid, but I didn’t appreciate until a lot of years of learning later what a gift it was to have such a close connection to the food we ate. I generally don’t eat beef now unless I can source something of comparable quality and local provenance.

I buy my beef from a local cattle rancher. A friend of mine married into a ranching family. Since meeting them I bought a quarter of a calf a couple times. My husband and I don't eat a lot of meat, about 2 to 3 lb of it on average per week all together between the two of us. So that quarter cow last us quite a bit. My parents and sister have also started buying from that family as well.

I guess when those local ranchers take food stamps I'll be sure to support them

Time to tell FDA to ... let's use the brains God gave us and stop asking permission from pencil pushers that don't know their ____ from a hole in the ground.

My family gets our meat from a local farm.

Tastes better than anything we've ever bought from a grocery store, more tender too, and we feel healthier.

I always try to buy local when I can. The food always tastes fresher and the meat is usually much more marbled when I go to a local butcher

I think those policies should mostly be placed in mega companies, I find it hard to believe the conditions small ranchers make for livestock is worse than the other.

The problem is that the mass produced meat is 10x cheaper and I like many other Americans are struggling to afford even the cheaper stuff.

Thanks for your analysis and commitment. However, let’s not throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Because really they don't care. At the end of the day they want more money, more power, and less control in the hands of everyday hard working farmers and ranchers.

Better meat too by the looks of that steak!

Bro stick to gardening tips. You’re way over your skis when you start making false equivalencies regarding regulations and results. That’s not how it works.
