The real reason this machine lags the game is cuz it creates so many light updates the server lags. This is also the exact reason why the technical community prefers to avoid redstone dust, hence "dustless" contraptions.

If you replace red stone dust between the repeaters with red stone lamps, and build underground. The lamps will make the light level wack. It’s expensive, but if you have a witch/piglin farm (if piglins trade redstone, I don’t remember) it’s worth it and more efficient.
