1 boneless, skinless thin-sliced chicken breasts

black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup milk, or more, as needed
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 garlic clove
1/4 cup Parmesan
1 tbsp dried parsley
