Just to let you know Ireland is not a British Isle. Ireland lies mostly in Irish Territorial waters not British Territorial waters. The Majority of citizens on the Island of Ireland are Irish citizens not British citizens. Ireland can no longer be called a British Isle since it regained its Independence and Territorial waters in 1922.

I find the term The British Isles to be both highly offensive and annoying. I am from the Republic of Ireland. We are not both in the UK or the Commonwealth of Nations. This term is both socially obsolete and politically incorrect. We are IRISH not BRITISH.
