for xp gains yeah the mushroom is probably the better route. ALTHOUGH for 100% completionists doing the hotel strat gets you alot of money for synthing/items needed, and farming that annonying stupid goofy defender shield.
I mean if you're going to already farm for the shield better to start with hotel strat and once you get it finish with blue mushroom boi

Worth noting also that if you complete a set of the synthesis items at the moogle synthesis shop, you will be given the "encounter plus" ability which will respawn enemies in every room like you left the world and came back just by room transitioning. It also rerolls your enemy spawn rng, which is useful because a lot of the synthesis heartless (which the truffles are) spots also have a chance to be regular Heartless that you'd otherwise have to leave the world to deload.

You honestly don't need to do this, just start the grind for the Ultima Weapon and you'll be at or near LvL100

I never realized you'd have to leave the world to re-roll the rarer Heartless spawns. I've always kept the farming 'til last on my list, so I guess I never _not_ had Encounter Plus by that point.
Playing as Riku looks so fun. I ought to learn how to mod KH 1.5-2.5.

My recommendation for leveling in KH1 is just go for the ultima weapon. The amount of grinding you'll need to do for all the materials will net you a ton of experience, and you'll get the best keyblade too.

Man i reached 100 on 1 and 2 originals when it came out clearing every single area. It was fun as it was some new mechanics for me i was like 8 when 1 came out still have 2 on ps2

You could also use the Rare Truffle in Olympus's Hercules Cup for a more consistent spawn. But if you want to get the drops, you can pin the Truffles against the wall and use Aeroga to bounce them up and down for an easy 100 Hits.

The objectively best way to farm exp in the end game is to first beat the Hades Cup in all 3 modes (If you're going for level 100, you're probably going to do this anyway for completion's sake). After beating it in time trial mode, you unlock the ability to skip to a specific seed. Skip to the rock titan every time to farm an insane amount of exp per minute.

I equip 4 exp increasing accessories and manage to get Rock Titan's exp drop to go from 4000 to 8000. Then I just spend a half hour killing him over and over again.
