Finally, I get it. We who are in Christ don't want to be taken, taken away is for God's judgment and to be destroyed. I thought of the left behind, that we wanted to be taken, to be taken up to Heaven but this is not it. We want to be left behind and then God will come back for us.

Ive believed in a pre trib rapture for 35 years. Im starting now to really dig deep on this matter. There are a few objections i have. You are referring to the 2nd coming which is after the tribulation, with the layout of society in that scripture it looks like people are living normal. It doesnt sound like they just went through hell on earth. Also, why would you get taken up after the tribulation just to come right back. I still lean towards the side of pre trib for these logical reasons. Also during lots day and noah God gave them a way of escape before his wrath. Now with that said my biggest hang up on pre trib rapture is how the rapture would be explained to the world. It just seems that there would be no way to explain it

Years ago, when I first heard the rapture theory, it just did not set well with what I had studied from the bible.

It struck me as it had been invented by some guy who did not like the notion he was going to have to endure tribulation time. He wanted to believe he and others would be rescued. God did not spare the Israelites from all the plagues in Egypt, they were there, but God protected them in the midst of the plagues.

One more issue that did not make sense, the secret rapture teaches the notion, that people will have a "second chance". Sorry believers, the people in Noahs day did not get a "second chance". Neither did the ones in Sodom and Gomorrah.

I worry about believers in the rapture. If I'm right and the tribulation comes before Jesus, then the believers will suddenly realize they were "left behind" and they could become deeply saddened and could fall prey to satan because they are despondent.

One problem with your THEROY. If the unrighteous are taken away in judgement who is left for the sheep and goat judgement ? No, Jesus had just said a few verses earlier that he will send forth his Angels to gather his elect.

Great job! That’s the way I see it. Grew up being taught WRONG about “Rapture” and “born Again “ learned the truth for Arnold Murray and still studying and learning. We will be here trying to save souls till the last minute when he returns for EVERYONE TO SEE like lightning across the sky.

In Revelation 9:18, 1/3 are killed by plagues, fire, brimstone, another 1/3 will be killed in the 1st 3yrs of Tribulation. The small number left won’t have a growing green field to work in, or for grinding at the mill and giving in marriage. The people left on earth will be few . The Church is gone at the Rapture.

Your reference in Matthew was the answer to the last question of the Disciples. Jesus then brings up a topic that is a mystery even to Him; which no one knows the day nor the hour of. Why is this so hard for so many like you to see?

The original Greek word Jesus uses for the one who is “taken” in the Olivet discourse is “paralambano” which means “taken alongside.” This word is the same exact word he uses in John 14:1-3 where he says he will go away to prepare a place for us in his fathers house, and later return to “receive you unto myself.” (Parlambano) This word is always used in the overwhelming sense of positivity and close fellowship. The one who is “left, ” the Greek word is “aiphmei” which basically means abandonment. Therefore, if the one who is taken is taken in judgment and the one who is left is left to enter the millennial kingdom, it basically goes against everything the language indicates.

You've really hit it here.
The other thing is, in that very statement there's a close of probation which is "the coming of the thief." Two men in the field who's probation would have closed, one for eternal death and the other for eternal life, then when He appears in the sky the unrighteous will be taken away and the righteous will remain forever and ever.

The other thing is it had two applications, the distraction of Jerusalem and the His second coming.❤

That has nothing to do with the rapture because church isn’t here rapture has happens before this event.

Did you skip verse 34, which reads: Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. as in Matthew 23 it reads: Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.
