Do you like the SCOPE GLINT in BattleBit?

"You can easily hit moving targets at almost any range" Stodeh you are vastly overestimating my abilities.

I've only done a little sniping so far, but the headshots on them are so satisfying man. I love seeing the range too!

I think how intense the glint is should depend on size of the scope, and distance. So if you are using a high zoom up close it's very apparent but if you're 1000 meters away with a 20x you need to pay a lot more attention to notice it. I think it's a fair middle ground.

You shouldn't be so easily spotted a couple hundred meters away just because you have 2x more zoom than your average sight you'd see on an assault rifle.

I.. agree that having no scope glint is nice, especially at closer ranges. I disagree with the (implied) claim that using long range scopes is categorically wrong. I've been having the time of my life counter-sniping with the 15x up to 1200 meters, occasionally pulling out the 20x if I have to push past that range. I have binoculars to spot targets, and if I get spotted in return, I can reposition. The worst thing someone can do is sit still, or come back to the same spot again and again. They may be able to get kills from that position, they may have the aim necessary, but they definitely don't have the mindset. In regards to scope glint, while I dislike it, I think it's a necessary balancing tool. Helps the blind find me and return fire if I don't nail them in the first shot or two. Besides, it puts the fear of God in any players attempting to cross open terrain without smoke.

Scope glint is a good idea but the glint should be slightly smaller and it should not shine through foliage.

I suppose a good fix would be to make the scope sparkle briefly only once when you first look in their direction or when they initially zoom in on you.

The goal should be to notify you, not to place an "arrow" over the sniper.

Don't stay scoped in and don't stay in the same spot for too long, these are universal sniping tips

Depends on your playstyle. If you're constantly repositioning after every few kills, or using the glint to purposefully lock down a sightline, then the long range scopes are fine. If you play closer and would prefer to not alert snipers when you're countersniping, then medium scopes are preferred.

Although I will admit that scope glint is a bit much at the moment. The glint goes through various objects (even walls sometimes), and if you shoot for the center of the glint you're more or less going to score a headshot.

As a recon main, i LOVE the scope glint. It doesn't take much to unlock a medium scope, and for anything under 700m, it's a no brainer. You already know long range scopes trade stealth for zoom, and you already know that anyone can zero their rifle to 1000m, so just stop being stupid. If you're gonna use a long range scope, be smart and get VERY far away or get counter sniped. This comment was made by medium scope gang.

I've always used around an 8x for snipers in battlefield games for years. I'm well aware of my scope glint which is why I won't ADS until I'm actually ready to take the shot. This minimizes the time the time people have to spot my glint.

The glint is a good balancing mechanic. You need less skill to use higher zoom optics, but you are more visible to the enemy. It's a perfect balance.

Another awesome thing about the midrange scopes is, you don‘t get any breathing sway! Obviously, you can hold your breath with the LR scopes, but it is just so much easier and nicer not having it at all… At least thats my humble opinion.

Also make sure you are using the normal chest armor for the extra ammo. I changed the zero increase/decrease to the mouse wheel (without alt) and it helped so much. I removed the change scope keybind from that. Remember that zero point reset after every life

Little tip from a long time sniper, when going long range use the recon drone and fly it up high to spot stationary snipers from above.

Always try to position yourself 2+ Meters back shooting through the smallest hole you can make, if you can't make this sniper nest shoot twice then move position and always change if a sniper is looking at you.

use a bipod only if you are laying on the ground peaking through this small hole. Anything else, use the stubby.

Finally, use your canted sight to aim at your target before switching to your main scope. I can switching optic bound to a thumb button so I always have quick access to the trigger. It goes like this; switch to canted > peak and aim > swap to main scope > fine adjustments > fire > swap to canted. Whole thing means I have less than 200ms scope glint

While I like the 4x and under scopes, I prefer the 15x because I usually snipe people ~800m+ out; DEFINITELY where I get the most enjoyment out of the game.
I hope they change glint through the foliage/objects soon though - basically a “one-way smoke” where long range snipers don’t have a chance

Yeah I discovered the I4 scope yesterday when someone told me the 4x didnt have sniper glint. Started POPPING OFF killing the whole team from the top of the statue in Frugis, then got two 1300+m headshots on targets in a helicopter on Sandy Sunset. It can do it all

Bro you’re damn good man lol. I’m loving watching this game blow up the way it has. It deserves nothing but praise. It’s like the devs were beaten down by 2042 like I was and they said “Fuck it, we’ll do it ourselves.”

This is what I used to do on Groundwar in Cod. Can take a little getting used to but taking away the glare is huge and most enemy snipers aren't looking for you. Great vid!

The scope glint is a bit too much right now. It works sort of at much longer ranges but around 300m sniping with long range scopes just doesn't make sense for me. You just aim and are instantly spotted. I'm assuming there is a 'cone' in front of the scope and everyone in it can see your glint (i.e someone close below you while your on a roof wouldn't see the glint or someone to your side. Maybe reducing the size of this imaginary cone, the brightness and making it so it doesn't show through some objects would be a good change.
