Does it not suck water into the Dyson tank?

I just bough it but what is the purpose of the water tank? I thought it was going to wet the mop and then you could actually mop the floor.

Does any water enter the vacuum’s filter? Recently Dyson warned against using third party attachments which may damage the vacuum. Dyson will not honor their warranty if the vacuum is damaged by water.
