I’m Italian and for me, Italy is not that beautiful cause I simply exist here, I’m not able to romanticise it anymore, but seeing everything with the eyes of a tourist, thanks to the comments, makes me want to fall in love more with Italy once again, just like I did when I was a little kid

this reminds me of my holiday in italy many years ago. Might have been one of the only times I was actually happy with my mum on a holiday. We were in a beautiful house surrounded by nature that we would not have been able to pay for were it not for my mum's coworker. I really wanna go back to Italy some day, learn some more Italian and get more accustomed with the culture of my host sister (who was Italian)

pov : you always wanted to visit Italy with family and friends, but wasn't lucky enough to. Years and years later, you make plans to visit Italy. You remember the wish you had when you were 15, and carry it till you reached there. You go to all the places your family would had like; the bookstore and restaurant for your siblings, the antique shop for your father, the flower/plant shop for your mother, the museum and monuments for your friends . you enjoy it and try to guess what they would had liked and what comment they would make.

My dad just hates traveling and doesn't want to go to his home country anymore idk why and when I tell him that I really want to go to Italy he always says how I would embarrass myself because I can't cook or whatsoever it's sad and it feels like something is missing.
