I think of three things with this subject:

1. Be Different.Come up with a character thats never been seen before.
2.Take things from your favorite tv shows, movies, video games, music etc. and incorporate them into your act. Chris Jericho said in his DVD that his 2008 heel character was inspired by the main character in "No Country for Old Men".
3.Give your character a story to tell. Give him some depth/a background so you can have something to work with far as promos.

Thanx guys for watching. I'm going to put a camera in the car and do shoot style 101s. What do you think?

Favorite best wrestling videos on the net. Much better than some of the negative shoots. Positive advice but no sugarcoating. But drama free. Good fucking job.

I can’t believe I just watched a building a character seminar from a guy who was a Portuguese man-of-war.

Then it turned out to be pretty good!

Can you do one about managers? I find it's such a lost art these days and it was something I always wanted to do.

This was another awesome episode PJ. At my wrestling school we have started our character development stage and alot of the stuff you have said in this I have already been thinking about incorporating with my character and this has also helped me with some of the doubts Ive been having about my character.

I actually Like it. Kevin Steen has been doing his Weekend Escapes which I find is a Great insight to the travels of a Indie Journeymen so I think doing an Aspect from the car, shoot style might be a great idea and add more insight

I'm a long time wrestling fan but I'm an artist. Yes the industry is about characters and gimmicks today and it's not a bad thing. It's cool! I'm what you said a slight exaggeration of myself, I'm very eccentric and loud at times

You know how in ECW, wrestlers were allowed to have music by famous recording artists and bands as their entrance themes? Well, do you think it would have been good if Bret Hart had joined ECW, and started using TOO MANY BROKEN HEARTS by JASON DONOVAN as his entrance music? ;*D I know, I'm a booking genius!!!! ;*D

I would love to watch them but everyone is doing the cam in the car gimmick Hell even RuPaul has one. It is the feel of you doing these shows in different areas sometimes with a guest hearing the crowd even that I enjoy viewing. Which ever way you do it I'll still enjoy and learn from you great wrestling mind! thank you very much

:( There is literally no more characters in wrestling anymore, not even in WWE, if someone DID have a character, his character would soon enough be ruined by shitty booking and stuff and then its right back to “i am firstname lastname and i am going to win a wrestling match” and does a bunch of kicks and boring shit

I hate Sable for stealing Rick Rude's gimmick and trademark grind maneuver without crediting him. Rick Rude invented the grind, and I thought his version of the grind looked a lot better than Sable's version.
