Lessons from here then:

1. Make sure to wear the absolute minimum/no PPE while working very close to the hot liquid metals

2. Have as many people as you can, who aren’t involved in the work process, stood nearby so that if something does go wrong they are likely to get hurt too.

3. And of course when lifting cast iron, be sure to use a chain block that isn’t rated/geared for the lifting weight so you have to swing your whole body weight off it and not just use your arms.

The only people working these trades are mostly gray hared
Do you think this industry could use upgrades but only if the quality does not get compromised.
I was trained by a master starting as an apprentice advanced through journeyman and retired after 35 years as a master that isn't the way anymore
Its sad .
