The reason for the VP44 issues is NISSAN. The pump is designed to have a lift-pump feeding them, supposed to have around 1 BAR (14.7PSI). Nissan went cheap and expects the VP44 to draw fuel through restrive lines and filter before it has to push it up to around 200-250PSI to control the pump timing rack piston and prime the injection plungers. Issue made worse with all the bolt-on filter kits that flood the markets making things worse.
Fit a Carter Black pump in rear near the tank, modify the fuel return to feed the pump bypass and injector return back to the tank (stop the hot fuel and in some cases carrying air back into the pump supply) and you will see the VP44 sing and last forever.

My injector pump on my GU Patrol was done a couple of years ago at a cost of $2500, fingers crossed it lasts for many more...

Hi mate, my 1999 Terrano has non CRD zd30 with failed pump. Have good known spare pump from Caravan. Do i need recoding the pump if i go and swap it? Or its just swap and go?

Hi Phil.. I’m working on 2011 D22 Navara .. it’s start and runs ok but the issue is 5 seconds after start it’s cuts off if I don’t hold the acceleration.. the only thing I found is fuel run back in the tank and filter primer pump struggle to prim back..

Good way to overcomplicate things.
Takes 2 seconds. To get that pump out once the chains off.

Halo... Same. I have truble. Patrol ZD. 30. Vp 44 pump. No have presuer in side nosel. For. 4 cilinder. I think ihave truble from moduel vp 44 psg 5. Can you telme ?? I m. No have. Old. Nomer en. Is gone. 😓😓😓😓
