As soon as the fire tv stick 4K went on sale I bought it off of Amazon immediately I got one just to play Xbox games

For those out there, you got the Fire TV cube you can actually put Xbox on there too, but you got a sideloaded. I have a Fire TV cube third generation and I got Xbox on there as well.

I bought the 4K Max, use it mainly for Xbox. Works great, playing games like Forza, Halo etc with no lag at all. No Console and using my old Stadia Controller. In UK.

I own an Xbox but I was curious about the firestick as a 'back up' for certain games. Thanks for the video.

Also, the lag isn't a matter of being wired or wireless. There's input lag because the game is hosted on the cloud & streaming to your device. It's not natively installed on the Firestick. So while internet speed does play a factor, you should be good with as little as 30mbps speeds. These days, internet plans start you off at about 300mbps.

Honestly this makes the price hike worth it. I mean could keep my physical console in my bedroom and have a "digital" console in each room lol hell might even sneak one into the hdmi at work 😅

One more detail: to play games on Game Pass on day one, you have to pay for Ultimate. You can't do it with the standard version anymore. So, even if you don't have a console, you're practically forced to get the Ultimate version to play on day one.

I think this is a good option for someone who cant afford an xbox console. But if you own a console I dont see the point in spending an extra 20/month to play only the games thats on the cloud when remote players work fine and you can play pretty much whatever you want. But as an xbox series owner, im turned off by the extra money having to spend on game pass ultimate just to cloud game on a firestick.

13:33 i think that is kinda impossible, because doing a subscription that gives you both: games and access to the cloud it always be kinda expensive

And as proof i can tell you that ps plus premium on latam american is 13 dollars while on America is 18 the discrepancy on price is basically because ps now (ps3 games) and ps4/5 cloud games are not available on latam American so the subscription got pretty cheap just because of that

In short cloud gaming and access to a lot of games makes for an expensive subscription like the new gamepass ultimate or the ps plus premium (American version)
