Sir I've been watching your videos for a month now and you have shown me how to interact with people in a healthy way. Thanks to you I'm able to express myself and can enforce boundaries politely! Sir can you please talk about how to deal with people who don't value your time?

Thank you so much for uploading great videos, I'm learning a lot!

Very interesting. I am a historian but my expertise is the Ottoman Empire. There were two Schizophrenic Ottoman Sultans. Mustafa Khan I (who they called Mustafa the Saint), and his nephew, Ibrahim Khan I (who earned the title Ibrahim the Mad). It's believed that when Ahmet Khan I, instead of systematically executing his brother Mustafa (as was the custom of his era), and choosing to imprison his brother instead (and when his sons Osman and Murat also imprisoned their brothers, the future Sultan Ibrahim among them) - that this drove a couple of the Sultan's mad before they came to the throne. Also, the sehzades (Ottoman imperial princes) still feared being executed too. They were not totally isolated- they were allowed to have consorts and servants (among barren concubines), but they could not leave their apartments- which were heavily guarded. This also made them inept Sultans, as most of them had no idea how to govern and were dominated by either their mothers and/or Viziers.

Dr. Honda, you have said that you enjoy history. I would be very interested if you ever did psychoanalyze of an array of historical characters from around the world. I mean, maybe some other psychologist have done this already, but I only listen to you for the most part. I like your psychoanalysis podcasts. :-)

"Proto-Dickensian gang" is my new favorite phrase.

I don't understand this interview. What does the interviewer mean by "they don't have the same language?" It's either English or French.
And why does the writer say glass was new? The ancient Romans had glass windows. That was 1000 years before the 14th century. !?
Also there is no Charles VI of Scotland. I think she's talking about Charles VI, "the mad king" -- the glass delusion was the least of his problems; for years he didn't recognize his wife. Salman Rushdie uses the delusion of Charles in his book "The Satanic Verses"
