I received the UBS 1st edition from the library of a beloved pastor in our community after his passing. A good friend gave me his 4th edition. I purchased the N-A 28th as a reward to myself for completing beginning Greek.

I really enjoy the UBS 5th edition. I told my professor in college that I was working on getting a Greek New Testament and soon afterward he gave me his old one with his notes still in it! It’s awesome.

Thank you so much for all this amazing content! Maybe I'm just blind but I couldn't see the link in your description for how to print your own sbl Greek new testament. Is there any way I can get that?

My wife kindly gave me the Tyndale for my birthday recently and I have been reading through it most days for the past two weeks and I am really enjoying using it. It is a beautifully printed. I have had the USB/NA 27th for very many years which has the apparatus for reference as well. Both well worth having. I do need the clear print of the Tyndale though for me the e/he breathing marks are still difficult to see even very close up. Knowing the words helps of course! I can see the benefit of the non-Readers edition but it was a present and I am delighted with it.

My preference right now is the Tyndale edition, although I have an SBL edition that I downloaded from Darryl’s website and had rebound and have used for much of the last year. If you choose the SBL route, I encourage you to take the time to edit the format according to your preference. I didn’t take the time to format it and double check the paragraphing and I regret it. It’s a classic case of impatience on the front end and regret on the back end!
That’s part of the reason for my preference currently being the Tyndale edition. But the other reasons include the layout, line matching, quality paper, presence of an apparatus (still waiting for the commentary on the text critical decisions though), and its textual philosophy. It’s a great reading edition that also allows for critical study since it adds value to the wealth of critical editions already in existence!

I really enjoyed this video! I am using the UBS 5 and the Reader's Greek New Testament 3rd edition (Zondervan). I would really like to see you review the NA28 Greek New Testament Large Print Edition, not many people discuss this particular volume. Keep teaching!

That biblia sacra is beautiful. I’m sporting a Biblia Graeca, which has LXX and NA 28. Love it!

Great video. I didn't know Logos could do textual comparisons like that. This is going to really help me in my studies of the different Greek texts when I get far enough along with the basics.

Thanks for this! I was wondering, what Greek New Testament was used for the King James Version?

I was trying to add a copy of the NA26 to my logos library to do some 'shadowing' with Dr. Spiors Zodiates' native modern pronunciation recordings. However, I could only find NA28 as a stand alone purchase on logos. I also have a copy of the Tyndale GNT. I loved their philosophy and methodology behind it. I'm not quite to that level yet, but already love holding it and thumbing though it.

I am about to buy a new NT. Someday I hope to be able to tutor and teach again so I think I ought to buy a 5th UBS Critical edition. My purpose is to note examples of grammatical concepts and verb forms for my future students. At the same time, these days I would recommend a reader’s edition for 1st and 2nd semester students. So maybe it would be more useful to just keep my reader’s edition and use that instead of getting the latest and greatest. By the way: I prefer the UBS Reader’s over the Tyndale because it retains the canonical book order and has 30 uses instead of 25 plus a lexicon/dictionary in the back. MikeinMinnesota

The best critical apparatus would be wilbur pickering family 35 Greek NT I have USB and Nestle Aland but it doesn't seem to refer to majority text readings the F35 shows difference in reading between orthodox church RP and HF and aleph B etc

Is a NA28 with a dictionary the same as a UBS5 Reader’s Edition?
