I added a Squid Skirt on an Assist Hook with SURPRISING results!
This one is often requested and I keep on forgetting to do it.
I just remembered and did it, so its out of the way.

I have used this in the past and found the results inconclusive - however, if this sort of thing actually gives you confidence, then go ahead and do it. There are some that swear by it for fast jigs - again, my results on this after a long time of using has been inconclusive since right after catching with this, and dropping naked hooks, I caught just as well...(tested on tuna) so it might depend on the place and situation.

This is how I make mine and as you can see, even if I lose the skirt (if it gets chewed up etc) the assist hook that gets left on there looks like an ordinary hook - this is why I said my results of this were inconclusive - because with this way of doing things, I noticed no difference when I lost the squid skirt. But in case you guys want to do something like this and give you that extra boost of confidence...here we go.
