Lyrics:
When we were young and still in love,
We didn’t care what we were made of,
Our eyes were set on a distant sun.
It was shimmering gold.

Then slowly one by one,
We carried our past and cradled the storm.
We tried to conceal the scars we wore.
‘Cause we couldn’t show what we couldn’t show.

I get lost sometimes,
With you I am found.
I get lost so I’ll follow the light to your heart.

Will you wait, will you wait for me?
There’s always a space in my heart.
I’m still caught in your gravity.
No matter the distance between us,
Our joy lives in the moments we share.
Love’s truest meaning lives when you’re not there.
Will you wait, will you wait for me?
There’s always a space in my heart for you.

And then the silence fell.
We bit our tongues, with which we tell.
All of our dreams, and the stories we sell,
But we didn’t know what we didn’t know.

I get lost sometimes,
With you I am found.
I get lost so I’ll follow the light to your heart.

Will you wait, will you wait for me?
There’s always a space in my heart.
I’m still caught in your gravity.
No matter the distance between us.
Our joy lives in the moments we share.
Love’s truest meaning lives when you’re not there.
Will you wait, will you wait for me?
There’s always a space in my heart for you.

My daughter has just passed away with cancer this was her favorite song and as I listen to it I realise how brutal life is when the people who bring you the best memories in life become memories themselves . R I P my sweet 💟

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The orchestral version is even more gorgeous.

I wonder, when Simon was writing songs like Jaggy Snake, did he ever imagine he would be writing songs like this and performing a dance routine in the video. I f*cking love this band. Gorgeous song.

Biffy fan here from Arizona USA...still don’t understand how they’re not selling out arenas here in the States. Saw them at a small club after the release of Ellipsis and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.

I have, like the rest of us, listened to this at least 40 or 50 times & leave you with a WARNING ❗️. If you’re just listening to the song & not thinking about anything else, it’s probably still most beautiful song I’ve ever heard, & here’s a warning, do not start thinking about somebody who you love unconditionally while playing this, because you will cry your frickin heart out.❤

Whether a ballad, a rocker or a pop song, they are all Biffy. A credit to Simon's song writing. He can touch on other genres, yet there is a commonality. You recognize Simon's voice. Not just the audible voice, but inside his soul.

I like how there's always one music video per album where it just focuses on Simon being a flawlessly gorgeous man.

I love that you never know what you are going to get from Biffy, could be a slow ballad, could be a pop song or hard hitting rock song

The lyrics the sentiment all have a place in this world and the way we are left feeling when you realise you are losing a loved one. Underrated orchestra arrangement and emotion

Possibly the most beautiful lyrics ever written ❤️

Simply one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Would LOVE to hear it as a duet with a female singing harmony on some of the bigger pieces.
