Tails & Tales: Come Meet Salt, the 45-foot Inflatable Whale!

Salt is a famous humpback whale that returns each summer to feed in the waters off Cape Cod. Come meet the life-size, inflatable version of Salt! Take a tour inside and learn all about our magnificent friends who populate the deep.

Come “check out” a human book–a person–and “read” their story via a one-on-one conversation hosted at the library. The Osterville Village Library is both proud and privileged to provide this opportunity to dispel discrimination in its many forms and foster inclusion and understanding.
Cape Cod 5k Run for the Library
Saturday, July 16th 8 a.m.
Osterville Village Day kicks things off in a pair of running shoes with the road race to benefit the Osterville Village Library. Assemble at the starting line in front of the library or choose a virtual route through the village. www.CC5K.org
4th Annual Plein Air Art Auction
Saturday, July 16th 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Artists will fan out to various vantage points throughout the village to complete a fresh rendition on canvas. By afternoon, wine and refreshments provide the perfect cap to a charming day. Proceeds from the auction benefit the library.
Singing Trooper Dan Clark
Sunday, July 17th 7 p.m.
Put your hand on your heart and sing along! Singing State Trooper Dan Clark and his wife, opera singer Mary Colarusso, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Osterville Veterans Association.
Cape Cod Writer's Book Fair
Tuesday, July 19th 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Join us as we host 24 local writers from the Cape Cod Writers Center, which assists both published and aspiring writers of all genres, ages and abilities to develop their writing skills and navigate the business of editing, publishing, and promotion of their work. If you've ever thought you have a story you'd like to tell, even a short story, this is an event that could provide valuable insight insofar as how to get started.
