Unleashing the FMS F4U Corsair - Does it Live Up to its LEGACY?

Here is my full review of the FMS 1400mm F4U Corsair. In this full review, I'll walk you through my thoughts on the model and give you the info needed to be successful with it. She's definitely a looker and being an F4U-4, it's the same variant as was featured in the movie Devotion. But, does the model live up to its legacy of its full scale counterpart? #F4U #scalemodel #warbirds

Nice plane, can see what you mean about the landings, could get tricky. That silhouette in the air is unmistakable. Nicely flown, very scale . Great video Chris thanks for sharing.

A worthy tribute indeed my friend, nice review of an old standard! These larger scale FMS warbirds really set the bar for the hobby in the 1.4 to 1.5 meter and bigger range back in the day, and they are still going strong some years later. I can't think of one in the series that doesn't fly well, and on a simple 4 cell battery no less! Great job Chris!

I've been pretty happy with FMS. I've been collecting 1100mm warbirds from all the different brands and the ones that come from FMS have much better foam. Not sure if they changed but the ESC's in the last 2 planes have signal wire for thrust reverse which they don't advertise. The Rafale and 1700mm pa-18 monster.

Nice review as always Chris
I have both the Corsair and P47 1400mm series. FMS do a great job. 👍

Nice review! This is the next warbird on my list. I have a bunch of 4s 3200 batteries that most of my warbirds fly on. Love the lights too.

Time stamp 5:02 to 5:08. Look at the flex in that plane! The wing and even the fuselage flexing like an arrow. Small cameras are cool for stuff like that.

What's best for reapplying decals that have come off and flapping around?

Last year I picked up a brand new never flown Staufenbiel (pre FMS version) Red Bull Corsair. I don't think they ever changed a thing with these, They do fly beautifully but for a 4s plane are really slow seeming. A gloss coat of Polycrylic really makes these planes stand out.

Nice review. You didn't seem overly impressed but you get to fly so many nice planes. You didn't mention anything about the reflex system. I thought the pain tscheme was a little flat. What do you think? I thought the air speeds were very close to scale especially on the landings. It doesn't take much imagination of seeing you on the deck of the carrier and videoing that short final with a 16 mm camera. It just looks right. Speaking of landing speeds if you were to chose, what model you have flown seems to get it right?

Nice review of a nice airplane. What camera are you using that’s mounted to the plane? The picture is really clear!

My first rc plane was a flitetest f4u Corsair. That's the plane that made me pull the trigger to get into rc flight.

Nobody told me how difficult it would be to build, nor how NOT beginner friendly it was. After crashing it a few times and rebuilding it with extra weight in the front it flew amazing. It's still my favorite plane I've ever flown. I unfortunately had to retire it last year after I forgot to check my cg, and was way to tail heavy...

Thanks for the Video. Any reason you chose FMS rather than Eflite apart from the extra 200m wingspan? Thanks, ,,, also does it has some tech like ASX3 ?

Love the Corsair. Nice landings. Now to customise it with folding wings.
