In this tutorial, I'll show you a way to add an elastic band closure to a composition or spiral notebook.

Materials:
• Notebook
• Elastic band

Tools:
• X-Acto blade
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Pen or marker
• Ruler
• Cutting mat

You could, but it helps to use something stretchy so you can easily pull it around your book.

I love your videos. This is very helpful and easy to do. I bought a bunch of composition notebooks on sale. I love writing and some will be crochet journals. I have a lot of elastic in different colors. Thank you for showing how to easily add it.

Thank you for the suggestions. I would though cover the insides with decorative or solid paper to hides the staples. Hot glue might also work. Great idea!

You mean the one shown at the end? That was for a hardcover book. This one is for softcover notebooks ;)
