FILM DESCRIPTION:
Lana Turner stars as Sara Scott, an American war correspondent whose whirlwind romance with a young British journalist (Sean Connery) ends in tragedy when his plane crashes while covering an assignment. After recovering from a nervous breakdown, Sara tries to come to terms with her grief by visiting her lover's widow (Glynis Johns). Based on the novel Weep No More by Lenore Coffee, Another Time, Another Place did excellent box-office business thanks to the concurrent real-life scandal involving the death of Turner's gangster boyfriend Johnny Stompanato at the hands of her teenage daughter.

During the filming that movie Lana Turner's very jealous gangster boyfriend Johnny Stompanato was decked on the set by Sean Connery. Apparently the thug thought Sean and Lana were just getting a little too friendly so he flew to England to straighten them out. Stompanato tried to pull out a gun on Sean but Connery immediately KO'd the punk right there on the movie set. Stompanato was then deported back to the United States. That's why Sean Connery is the original and truly authentic 007. 😄

Sean Connery was a very lucky and a courageous man, when he decked Lana Turner's mobster boyfriend Johnny Stompanato during a shooting break from this film. Thank God Sean Connery, did not get whacked! He might have had a guardian angel watching over him.I await your reply.

Una de las raras veces donde un filme que camina por renglones torcidos toma in extremis el camino de dios padre y desfaze el entuerto; o sea, la escena penúltima con la Turner confrontándose a la esposa injuriada. Por lo demás, parece que la diva exigió abrir y cerrar la película con el maldito abriguito de pieles; acaso toda la trama transcurre en el crudo invierno?
