This famous Italian flat bread is crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and hails from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The Emiliana version is thinner, while this recipe shows the Romagnola version which is slightly thicker and more crispy in texture.

Goes well with ham, salads, cheese, Italian sausages, and can be cut into triangles for dinner appetizers or party fingerfood.

Very good recipe. You'll need at least 3 cups of flour. Start off with 2 1/2 cups of flour not 1/2 cup. You'll need the other 1/2 cup to firm up the dough later and to roll out your flat bread.

It appears as though it needs much more that 1/2 cup flour... And what is 100g in US measurements, anyone know?

I had these in Italy but with Pesto. Is there a pesto one? can I please get the recipe? Thanks. :)

There's an endless variety of fillings you can use these piadine with - yes you can spread some pesto on it (click on our channel to see how you can make your own pesto Genovese at home), along with the pesto you can also add slices of mozzarella and small tomatoes :)

So it is the oil in the flower that give it that  bubble look when you cook it . I would use only olive oil . To make it more healthy .

The recipe calls for 1/2 of flour. I'm halfway the recipe and it's wrong. How much flour does this recipe need.
