Bill Clinton claims he wasn't 'surprised' Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris

Former US president Bill Clinton claims he was not "surprised" Donald Trump won the presidential election.

Clinton made the remarks during an interview with MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart which aired on Saturday, local time.

Former president Clinton shared that he predicted all swing states would vote together, leading to Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 presidential election.

The 42nd president noted that Trump won both the popular vote and the Electoral College this time, unlike 2016 when he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton.

“I can’t say I was surprised,” he said.

“I had the feeling all along that at the end this thing might break one way or the other, and all the so-called swing states would vote together."

Well duh. Did anyone even see Clinton's campaign speeches for Harris? They didn't exactly inspire anyone to go vote for Harris. Clinton knew she was a sucky candidate and his lukewarm campaign speeches demonstrated this.

That bit about losing the popular vote to Hillary in 2016 probably should include an asterisk, as her entire "national popular margin" was attributable to her margin in a single state--California.

Take California out of the equation and Trump beat her in the popular vote of the other 49 states.

The best argument for her "winning the popular vote" would be to suggest she was only elected the President of California!
