Diy Foaming Bath Butter Whipped Soap Tutorial
Показать описание
This project is very easy (& fun) & only has a few ingredients. The foaming bath butter is a SOAP base that can be whipped up into a light & fluffy state. It's not like butter or greasy at all (the name is misleading). Foaming bath butter is great for whipping up & suspending exfoliants.
RECIPE: 15 ounces foaming bath butter base (comes pre-made). Just to be safe, I added .20 [NOT 2 or 20 ounces - .20 ounces] ounces of preservative (I used Optiphen, but after researching, liquid germall plus is probably best - for everything). *ALL OTHER INGREDIENTS ARE OPTIONAL!* 1/2 ounce fragrance oil (skin-safe), 1.5 ounce oil/butter (Use any oil/butter that you want, just make sure it is liquid & room temperature before adding it), 15 ounces exfoliant (sugar).
Melt butter so it can cool to room temperature. Whip soap into a light & fluffy state. Add oil/butter (kokum) to soap & whip. Then, add additional ingredients slowly, while mixing. EXFOLIANT: Add any type & amount of exfoliant you want. Add it slowly (little by little) until desired consistency is reached. *** You do not have to add an exfoliant, but I like the way it feels. WHIPPING: Big mixer is best for this project! Get the base smooth & fluffy. COLOR: Divide soap into as many colors that you want. Add mica or liquid colorant. Add each color to bag for multi-colored swirls. PIPING: Use a large tip to pipe soap.
NOTE: You can over-whip base. It is rare & only happens if you really go out of your way to over-whip (so don't worry about this too much). If you over-whip base, it'll start deflating.
RESULTS: The soap stays exactly the same as the day you made it; it doesn’t deflate, it doesn’t harden; it stays whipped up, in position, & soft for grabbing. A little goes a long way, so grab a dab, rub on skin, & activate with water. My hands felt wonderful; very clean & exfoliated while also feeling moisturized, but not greasy though! I don’t like anything greasy! Happy whipping!
*** I apologize for using too much water in this tutorial. I was focused on filming the reactions of the soap & I wasn't thinking (or concerned) about the running water. I've gotten a few comments on this so please allow me to apologize again AND in advance. I am sorry!!!!
