I would say yes if you can afford it. I play high school football and had a Riddell that was from like 2013-2014 with hard foam padding vs the newer ones with the air pocket style... I had helmet to helmet contact in that that crapy helmet with one of the bigger D-linemen on our team during drills. He rang my bell pretty damn good and that did not feel good AT ALL. Had to take a break for 10-20 minutes from practice...

My major problem is that am Canadian and it is a pain in the ass to get football gear that isn't overpriced in USD.

That helmet liner is nice, I am gonna have to pick one up. I found that my helmets fit snug around my head but not to the top of my head, this should suffice the little less than an inch of space issue I am having.
