This was my full day of sore leave on the Island of Dominica. The Conmmonwealth of Dominica is a country with 70,000 people (on the island) and is known as the "Nature Island" with its 365 rivers and untouched forests. We met a guy that brought us around the island (not for free) and brought us on the northern shore where they filmed many Pirates of the Carribean 2 (not 4 as I said) scenes. Then we headed to the north east part of the island in the Carib's Territory which is the area in the world with the highest Carib (Native people of the Carribbean) population (approx. 3000). We went down to Emerald Pool then went back down the mountain to Roseau to head back up into Trafalgar Falls. We had a chance to swim in the falls and it was crazy. The way to the falls had a small river like path that had several ponds filled with boiling hot water heated by the earth since the Island is volcanic. We then headed to Screws, a natural hot tub that had a really nice set up. Toob ad we payed the full price for an hour and only had the time to spend 15 mins -.- Oh well! It was a great day.
