CERN is now offering a 7-Week free online course for Quantum Computing which doesn't require any prerequisites. Open for all. Classes happen every Friday and are also recorded. The course started on Nov 6, so it is one class down.

I actually took the course by MIT at 5:00. It helped me win a quantum computing contest by Microsoft. I finished part 1 of the course in a few weeks and simultaneously learned Q#. I went in and solved all but 1 question.

It would be great if you could provide us with some discussion about the CS background required to enter the field. How much of data structures, algorithms, frameworks, etc do we actually need.

Hi, I am a student in the 8-month IBM QC course. For some time now I have been wanting to select computer science as my major with a focus on mathematics until I found some universities offering a joint program between cs and math. Would that be a better fit for me for getting into quantum computing?
