I really love you handled the transitions in this! Stuff like the moon changing into the blackboard, and the photographs, and the pinkies... it's so interconnected in themes and looks really good!

Including so many different parts of the manga was a treat, too. And the lyrics fit so well with what's going on in Hanako-kun! Maybe it's a bit of bias, since I love Hanako-kun, but I like this even more than the original music video for Hitchcock!

I really love how at the beginning, Amane is alone and colourless while his days are all colourful, but he seemed to not enjoy his days at all.

Then at the end, he's all alone too, but he is coloured while his surroundings are just a white canvas. Meaning he finally has everything, and yet he has nothing.

As if he really, really, won't find friends unless he's dead

So in the Manga, in Chapter 38 where Yashiro met Young Amane, it was July 7th, 1964 as seen in the calendar. At the end of that Chapter, young amane wished to see Yashiro again. And in Chapter 22, it was July 18 1969 as seen in the calendar, Yashiro met Amane again, but he ran away. And in Chapter 13, when Amane Decided to stay, it July 22, 1969.
So my theory is that Amane's wish to see Nene again came true after 5 years on July 18 1969. So i think he decided to stay because he thought he could see Yashiro again.
And in Chapter 27, there was a scene of Hanako looking kind of surprised when Yashiro knocked on the bathroom stall, maybe he was surprised to see yashiro after many years.

But hey its just a theory, an anime theory

When they were in No. 4's Boundary, Shijima told Yashiro and Kou to kill Amane and Mitsuba in order to exit her boundary. Tsukasa also told Yashiro to kill Amane too, we might think that it's for revenge, but Yashiro said that Tsukasa doesn't seem like someone who wants revenge. And both Mitsuba and Amane are dead already, so I think killing them would mean nothing. So my theory is that Tsukasa wanted Mitsuba and Amane to fall into the pits of despair, by making the person they care about most try to kill them, and if Yashiro and Kou were to try to kill them, Mitsuba and Amane would feel betrayed and will be scared to trust people afterwards, like a trauma or something. And if they become like that, Tsukasa can use this to his advantage by acting to be by their side always or cheer them up, and they would become dependent on him, and would stop Yashiro and Kou from interfering with his plans, so killing two birds with one stone.
