IGN News - Possible Xbox One and PS4 UK Release Dates

Leaked dates from retailer Toys'R'Us are said to be direct from suppliers, suggesting we know when the next-gen consoles will hit the UK.

Hopefully launch day will be more towards the end of November. That gives us some more time save and get everything in order. Can't wait to get my Xbox One!

Touché. However, the difference is Gaikai streams video games from servers to the Playstation 4 and is processed on the console. The Xbox Cloud Processing off-loads tasks to servers which are processed and then sent back to the console.

Because they don't want to give a date and then have to change it. That's why they wait so close to the end. Sometimes things may come up that makes them need more time like a last minute check or something.

the problem with off loading to servers is the chance the servers can get overloaded like sim city. so it will be fun to see what happens with both xbox and ps4

Back before MW2 which was 2009 Halo 3 was THE game on the 360. Everyone had the game and the community was amazing, people were always up fro custom games and getting to know eachother this went on for two years those were the good days until the COD Community became the online community.

Well, rumors can sometimes be true, and in which case i personally(and I'm assuming many others), like to hear the information they have to offer.

I think its because they actually have to make the console's. Because both consoles are selling so well in pre-orders they aren't sure how many consoles they should make and ship.
Heck ps4 is sold out on most websites and shops.

I'm sticking to late october/ early november, surely sony would want to get first blood. Apart from that nothing divides the xbox and ps4 now, its just a matter who can create awesome exclusives

its not uncommon for a next gen game to be released at the time of the consoles release. So while COD ghosts comes out Nov 5 for other platforms it might simply be out day one of xbox one. Then again I could be completely wrong and you're correct with your statement. Still i think Gamescon will be the reveal for both consoles release date.

The controller and exclusives are preference. Also the ps4 has multitasking as well.

Is there a reason why people are begging for a specific date to be announced as if that will somehow make the systems come out sooner? I'm just happy knowing the consoles will be coming out this year! :D

True true.. I'm also buying the ps4. But if it was to be released on December 13 I could probably save up enough money til then. As long as i started putting money aside starting now lol

I know that is what cloud processing does, but Direct X actually does allow better graphics.

Next gen consoles are HDMI only so lots of people who still only have the old CRT TVs are screwed. Sad but true. In my opinion though, if you can afford a next gen console then you can probably afford even a cheap HD TV. They aren't all that expensive anymore.

Hmm.. I think i'm gonna get the PS4.
I really loved Sly Cooper Thieves in Time and I HOPE that they will make another one; and since Sly is exclusive to Sony, I'll need the PS4 for that :P
