Benny Benack III is featured singing his face off crooning like Frank Sinatra and playing trumpet in The 8-Bit Big Band's arrangement of one of video game musics favorite songs, "Still Alive" from Portal 1.

This arrangement is inspired by Nelson Riddle's fantastic writing on his arrangement of I've Got the World On A String for Sinatra. Hope you enjoy!

"The 8-Bit Big Band" is a 30-65 member Jazz/pops orchestra that formed to celebrate and realize some of the best themes from video game music from all consoles and eras arranged in a large ensemble Jazz/Pop/Rock setting!

Blending together timeless musical themes from Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, and more then re-arranging them in genres and styles of all musical inspirations, The 8-Bit Big Band has members from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought after musicians and performers.

Not enough attention is given to how this guy does those tiny little pitch upticks that Frank did in the beginning of words. That's amazing attention to detail.

Also helps that this song is the same key as "New York, New York"

This song actually sounds like it could've been sung by Frank Sinatra in the 1950s; even the lyrics oddly sound like they'd be from the 1950s.
