As someone who knows blender and works with it almost every day I personally don't need longer tutorials than this. Longer and more in depth tutorial are however more easier for beginners I think 👀

In VertextWeightProximity modifier:

IF Lowest > Highest: Mesh will displace when target empty is closer to object.
IF Lowest < Highest: Mesh will displace when target empty is farther from object (will be displaced by default and return to "normal" as empty gets closer).

Have to set a vertex group for the mesh and use it for the Restrictions in the SimpleDeform modifier as well as the target Groups in VertWeightProx and Displace.

Just some notes for those who come after me.
