The last "cost no object" Benz hands down. The Bruno Sacco design is also iconic.

0-60 in 7.2 seconds for a car that weighs that much. Impressive.

Wow, what a beauty. Built like a tank, fast, quiet...this is what people think of when you hear 'Mercedes'.

Got a 400SEL which looks exactly like the one in the review. Even after 32 years the car still drives as solid and powerful. A truly remarkable vehicle that will never be replicated.

Although I will never depart from my 1991 W126 560 SEL Classic(w/ only 53K on the clock), the W140 was just an immense leap in opulence and bold luxury at the time. The car had such road presence, with its wedge shape, interior advancements, and overall refinement.

To be quite frank, this car was MB at its very best(as well as the R129s that were being built at the time as well).

You can thank the ls400 for how over the top this car ended up being. 💯✅️

Tank. This is when Mercedes built cars that sounded like bank vaults

The W140 S-Class is still a luxury car gem. Mercedes-Benz definitely doesn't make their cars like this anymore

MB spent 11 years with the old body style. Who knows how many more years that car would have lumbered on had Lexus not came along and shook up the luxury market with the superb LS 400.

Loved our 95 S500. Mercedes hasn't come close to building a car this good since.

Even though I am lucky enough to afford the car I want, I'll never get to enjoy this W140 pulling out of the dealership lot brand new. It'll always be a dream of mine and is the perfect car all around!
